Overview
For this project, I was assigned to typeset a book of my choice and design the cover.
Every aspect of the book aside from the content was picked by me. Some examples include font, size, leading, index, and treatment of narrators, amongst others.
For the design cover, I decided to steer away from “the first idea that fits” to something more obscure and unfamiliar which resembles the nature of
Grimm’s Fairy tales.
The design is heavily inspired by the mythical significance of “fairy rings” and how they are the portals to another world.

Because of this I utilized the print of the underside of mushrooms to create the
shapes in my designs.
