For this school project, we were asked to pick an animal and a medium or object to merge and create a logo. I picked a jellyfish and stained glass.

I started to draw a realistic version of a jellyfish and picked pieces apart much like glass is broken before being incorporated into the final piece. I picked a type that resembled the nature of the pictogram. I adjusted the type and the image to my liking until it felt incorporated with the brand.

The name “Celec” translates to whole, which plays on the phrase “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” directly comparing it to the process of creating art with pieces of glass.
